Improving Student's Vocabulary Mastery Throuh Song "Let It Go" In Seventh Grade at SMP PAB 2 Helvetia
This study aims to improve the English vocabulary mastery of seventh grade students at SMP
PAB 2 Helvetia through the song "Let It Go". The main problem identified is the low ability
of students to understand and use English vocabulary, which is caused by monotonous learning
methods and lack of student interest. This study uses the Classroom Action Research (CAR)
method which is implemented in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation,
and reflection. Data collection techniques include vocabulary tests (pre-test, post-test 1, post-
test 2), observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study showed a
significant increase in students' vocabulary mastery. The average score of students increased
from 61.25 in the pre-test to 78.33 in the post-test of cycle I, and reached 92.27 in the post-test
of cycle II. The percentage of student learning completion also increased from 33.33% in the
pre-test to 75% in cycle I, and 94.44% in cycle II. The of this study is that the use of the song
"Let It Go" has proven effective as a learning medium for improving students' vocabulary
mastery. The song provides a fun learning environment, motivates students, and facilitates
