Rancang Bangun Aplikasi Sistem Pelacakan Special Tools Di Workshop PT. Sumatera Motor Indonesia Berbasis Website
This study aims to design and develop a web-based tracking system application for special tools at the Workshop of PT. Sumatera Motor Harley Indonesia. The background of this research is the existing manual tracking system, which often causes recording errors, delays in information, and the risk of tool loss. To address these issues, an integrated information system was developed to manage tool data, borrowing and returning processes, and reporting features. The methods used include data collection through observation, interviews, and documentation, as well as system design using the UML approach (Use Case, Activity, Sequence, and Class Diagrams) and web-based implementation using PHP programming language and MySQL database. The testing results show that the developed system can simplify the tracking process, improve recording accuracy, and accelerate the provision of tool availability information. This application also facilitates management in monitoring tool status and conducting internal and external audits. Therefore, this system is expected to be an effective solution to improve the efficiency and accuracy of special tools management at PT. Sumatera Motor Harley Indonesia.
